Actually it was ! Many historians place the decline of the Roman Empire precisely on the excessive celebrations by the gladiators following their successful battle-either with another gladiator or some form of an animal. They would jump up, pound their chest, point to the emperor, run around the dead in circles, dance, and generally behave like Odell Beckham.
