They want the rebrand to have no competition from an existing design.
IDK, Maxie I believe the plan all along was to showoff the new digs with the new palatial venue and who can blame them? The issue was the Rams did not calculate the delay because of rain delaying the stadium by one full year and thus the uniforms too. I feel the Rams have done all they could to sooth the masses by going to the blue & whites in the coliseum, however, they could do nothing about the gold in the blue jersey per NFL rules. Yes, they could have gone to a new uniform sooner, but from the outset, ESK wanted the new uniforms to coincide with the opening of the new stadium and for several billion dollars, he ought to have some say.
White on White is fine and they've even gone to the white jersey with blue pants and white stripe on the road and don the white pants with the blue jersey when another home team dons their white at home. I truly wish they would unveil them in 2019, which was the original plan, but come on, one can understand unveiling them for the grand opening of the first true stadium ever built for the Los Angeles Rams or for the Ram franchise themselves, with of course sharing it with the runaway step child.
