Its been a long winter and a short spring. I have thoroughly enjoyed this years draft process, but work, family and play calls. I want to thank everyone for all their support throughout the draft season. It makes it fun.
Here is a list of guys (Rams targets or not) I look forward to seeing more of next college season.
(no real order)
1. k'Neal Harry - ASU - a size/speed freak I have followed since his frosh year. he is special.
2. Cam Smith - USC - My favorite ILB prospect since Denzel Perryman
3. Gustin Porter - a run edge setter with some budding pass rush ability.
4. Greedy Williams - LSU - my top CB right now. 6'-2" and a ballhawk.
5. Ed Oliver - my favorite DT since AD. He is a special kind of special.
6. Bryce Love - Stanford - my top RB, probably drafted 2nd this year if he came out.
7. Clemson D line - Seriously Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, Clelin Ferrell, Austin Bryant
8. Auburn's D line - Marlon Davidson, Derrick Brown, Dontavius Russell
9. Nick Bosa - OSU - the better of the 2 Bosa's.
10. Rashan Gary - Michigan - a crazy athletic DT. He has a ways to go, I think he gets there.
11. Raekwon Davis- DT - Alabama - a long DT in a long line of good Ala. DTs
12. OTs galore - Trey Adams - Washington, Jonah Williams - Ala., Greg Little - Ole Miss,
13. All of Wisonsin's line
14. Collin Johnson - Texas - a 6'-6" WR with speed to burn.
15. Jaylen Smith - Louisville - Another big WR that could take the next step
16. Joe Jackson - Miami - He could end up being the top 34 edge rusher by the end of next year.
17. Montez Sweat - Miss. St - lead the SEC in sacks last year, an edge to pay attn. to.
18. TJ Edwards - Wisc - ILB with good instincts. Josey Jewell fans should pay attn to him
19. Shaq Quarterman - Miami - an undersized ILB from Miami in the Perryman mold.
20. Jarrett Stidham - Auburn - because I enjoy AU and he should build some steam next year.
21. Jake Browning - Washington, a really good #2 QB.
22. Trace McSorley Penn St. - an undersized baller
23. Myles Gaskin - Washington - As some of you remember, my TA replacement. A tad undersized but a serious weapon.
24. Irv Smith Jr - Ala. -A TE I think makes major strides with a QB that can actually throw the ball.
25. Marvell Tell 3 - USC - My top S prospect. I don't see elite safeties this year, but a really good class again.
26. Brian Burns - FSU -please add some weight.
27. Ross Pierschbacher - Ala. - probably my top OC. Man Alabama is stacked on the OL again. To quote Cartman: I hate u guys so much.
28. NDSU - because Horns Up. Thats why.
29. AJ Brown - Ole Miss - Blew up last year with 11 TDs. A playmaker.
30. Oh who the hell am I kidding. I will fill my secondary recording hard drive with as much college football as I can get and end up falling in love with some ILB from SW Missouri State.
Anyhow, that should give some of you some names for next year.
