If we look at this from the pov of the opposing OC...

Well, the opposing OC has serious challenges when facing the Rams D, no question.

An elite DL and an elite secondary.

What else can the poor guy do but attack the “weakest link”? That would be the Ram LB’s, at least relatively speaking.

The OC’s know that, Wade knows that, we fans know that. I suspect that Wade schemes his LB’s in such a way that he wins a bit more than his fair share of snaps.

And let’s remember that the Rams will be in nickel a lot. And in dime quite a bit, too. These two factors will result in LB’s coming off the field and top drawer depth CB’s such as Shields and Hill going on the field. Advantage Wade.

So, I can kinda understand Wade’s strategy and philosophy with emphasizing DL and secondary in his D’s. LB’s become increasingly less important in nickel or in dime packages.

I don’t envy opposing QB’s facing this D when trailing by 2 or more scores. Won’t be pretty. Lol.
