I’m very optimistic about this draft, too, Sun.
I’ll say it again.
I’m convinced that Wade had great input in this draft and he considers these players to be good fits for “his” D. That’s huge, if you ask me.
Same exact thing for Kromer. I’m convinced that he described his “type” of OL players and Snead went out and found them as best he could starting at pick #89 and beyond. This means that the guys coming in are “Kromer types”. That’s good enough for me.
It doesn’t mean that every player will be a star, or even make the 53. But it does mean that specific players were selected by two superb coaches with outstanding records of developing talent within their scheme fits.
To me, that trumps any pundit’s opinion. Another thing. By and large, our board draft gurus seem to understand and like these picks. That’s another thing that means more to me than pundits opinions.
