I absolutely hated that pick. In fact, I almost threw up when the Rams made it. If only he had turned out to be as good as DeAndre Hopkins or even Keenan Allen we would not be having this sad discussion.

He was a real team player, I will say that for him.

I basically have the same linear set of reactions as you I wasnt very happy with the move up to get him, i enjoyed some of the excitement he gave us over the years and yes i thought he did give it his best every year.
He came to us at a time when we basically had no real juice , no real flash offensively. We needed a transfusion on that side ,, something to excite us. And HE did accomplish some eyepopping plays in multiple ways over time .
I think he had real home run hitting ability. At least dangerous to the level of a Devin Hester on kick return s .
He had that memorable all purpose game against Indy at least . That was Tavon at his absolute best that was truly nuts .... It compared to production on the level of Gale Sayers .

As I think on that I think the talent was there .

If so we may have failed him just as much or more than he failed us .
Sadly the Rams had many problems with thier offence until just last year cough. Part of his career was a victim of circumstance and maybe a just bit of hype in his initial draft grade .
Maybe he wasn't just a limited fit with us but also
the result of a reaching mis-begotten draft evaluation yearning into something more than he really was.

I blame that too.

I do owe him a personal thanks on one level .
Tavon has been one of my best Madden gems in the last few years.
Honestly he's won me many games in so many ways !!!.
Hes quicker than a sugar rushed lizard as proggramed in the games numeric values .
It plays out to make him agile and almost uncoverable going across the field.
Of course he is money with the iconic WR reverse.
My best moment with him was a 85 yd punt return against the Packers ,,,,
15 seconds left on the clock down one score .
Deeks right, goes right lane 5-7 yds , defence flows,, right .
Tavon Sees the cutback lane reverses field left ...
Defenders tripping over themselves ,,lol flailing arms,,
Baby takes it to the house down the left sidelines.

Felt like real life.

Exuberation right in my hands .

Tavon could make that happen in reality .
He could threaten Hester's record ,given success in coming years, for all time leader in KR touchdowns .

Yeah baby I hope you do it in Dallas .
I'd be ok with that.

Meantime thank you sir for shredding it for me on Madden.
