Especially in the playoffs. Because in the playoffs you're going to face situations where you can't roll the opposing defense. And when that happens if you're spotting the opposing offense third and short every series there's a good chance you will be going home.

Last year's playoffs didn't really demonstrate that elite type defense. Lot of good defenses that couldn't contain opposing offenses. But every year is different so from a teambuilding perspective you cannot afford to blatantly disregard the importance of stuffing the run.
