I remember scouts being unanimous about GRob. They loved him. Some said, HOF-caliber. They weren't saying "can't miss." But they did think he would be great. Mathews got the can't miss label, but with a lower ceiling than Robinson.

I was fine with the pick at the time. Either Mack or Robinson was cool with me.
