I think Watkins was plan A but he priced himself out of the market.
Cooks I think they like better than Watkins and view this as an upgrade.
They had to give up a first rounder for Cooks and did try and resign Watkins which is why I think they had him as plan A.
On a side not we seem to be loaded at the WR position with a bunch of proven young guys. Funny how that could happen under McVay and not Fisher.
He's actually 5'10" ...about the same exact size as the best WR in the game right now (Antonio Brown)
And Sammy was plan B last year after they couldn't get a deal done with the Saints for Cooks.
Cooks has been McVay's plan A from the beginning......
