This is not just about the player's talent.
Cooks is a good receiver. He will stretch the field. I'm even surprised he had 4 red zone TDs last year. Now...will Goff do to him what Goff did to Watkins?
The concern...and my criticism of this trade is not that Cooks will or won't help this year.
My concern is will he be here after this year? We have gambled with a #1 pick along with having another guy that isn't under contract for 2019.
I'm waiting for the "Well, he gave us a good season and we do get a third round pick back!"
If I'm Cook, I look at Sammy Watkins and I'm not signing.
The part in RED makes me wonder. Is it really "What Goff did to Watkins" or is it what "Watkins did to Goff" by not fully knowing the playbook at first (self acknowledged by SW) or taking plays off or maybe being at the wrong spot at the wrong time? I just am not so quick to blame Goff without knowing what really happened. There is a reason McVay wanted Cooks more than Sammy and why Sammy is no longer here. That says a LOT to me.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
