I think it's true the Rams were desperate for a downfield WR. And New England did stick to their guns about giving back #136 vs. #95. But that's not really a huge difference worth nixing a deal over.

And the truth is also that, at this point, New England has more roster holes than the Rams and is also looking for a future QB.
