I just feel good that the conversation has changed so much in 1 year.
Last year we had hope because McVay sounded so good and was so positive. But really we had little else.
Goff was on the trash heap and considered a draft bust
Gurley looked like a one year wonder and then an unfocused guy who couldn't find a hole for anything
The offensive line was considered garbage and a big problem
Woods was considered a huge over sign
Snead was supposed to be on the hot seat and probably fired.
That is where we were and now we are saying that we need McVay and Goff to get better but we are saying it from the point of view that they were darn good last year and we know they both can do much better. Now we know we have a strong offensive line but it could use some depth. Gurley is boy wonder again and we don't even have to talk about him. Woods is looking pretty darn good right now. And Snead is starting to blow peoples mind.
Yea it is nice to discuss how we can advance in the playoffs and maybe to the Super Bowl versus who are we going to get in the top of the draft. Heck it looks like they fixed the defense and now we are down to worrying about Goff and McVay getting better. Well if I had to count on 2 guys working their butts off to get better I would pick them.
