hearing the Rams would not give up 2 #1
the suggestion was more in the range of this year's number 1 and an additional pick, say a third or fourth.
Beckham holds some of the weight
In this spot, he's an easy franchise tag.
He's a blustery guy, and I can't imagine the NYG be particularly happy with running him wild in the press, locker room, and streets with that mouth.
If you're the NYG, and your "best player" is coming back from a broken foot, wouldn't you want to see how he's running and PLAYING?
Because Beckham is a high friction guy, there's not much chance that team he doesn't like would trade for him. Why would you? The guy gets to your city, with no deal (perhaps) and he's going to be from day one running his trap?
That said, I can see that the 49ers, and the Rams would be in running for him. In some ways, the NYG would prefer him in the AFC, but as this whole ordeal for them grows larger than the player or the team, the bailout seems very likely
But not going to give away the farm. I would be shocked to see the Rams give up their 2019 top pick.
