I thought I read he wanted 18 million/year. Where did the 20 come from? Also, as I think OJB is close to twice as good at SW he may be worth 32 so getting him for 18-20 would be great. I think I would like to not give up 2 firsts, but think the Giants might get that for him. Of course, any trade would need to include an extension. And why wouldn't he want to come here? The Giants have an old QB behind a poor OL with no other weapons and a boring scheme. Our Rams have pro Bowlers everywhere. A great young QB. A solid OL. A tremendous RB. A solid receiving corps. A top D. The top ST. A fabulous young coaching staff. Second largest TV market and the best new stadium in the league. And the weather and the beach. Come on. NJ is freezing in the winter. The Giants need a total rebuild. Even a knucklehead like OJB can see to jump off the Titanic and jump on a cruise liner headed for the Caribbean. Right now, we are like that Mid 80s Niners team who kept winning and adding talent.
Everything you say is true about what the Rams offer, but at the same time, it was equally true for Watkins and yet he went with the money. Sometimes players just don't see things the way we fans do, or the way we want players to see them. So it could turn out that the Rams money isn't to his liking. Personally, I would rather have paid Watkins 16 M and the 2nd rounder than pay OBJ more and lose 2 first rounders on top of the Watkins 2nd rounder.
