The Rams Oline is not about getting better players. It's going to be about staying healthy and getting quality depth.
It is inevitable that some of the guys will go out for a while.
The main area of concern is LT. Blythe filled in very admirably at Center for Sullivan.
Should a potential starting LT slip to 23 on Draft day, I'd take him over any available edge rusher or ILB. With the pieces Wade now has, he can get very creative and get pass rush from a lot of places, and have a mediocre LB corps and still be an elite D. But LT is ALWAYS scary exposed. Whitworth goes down and we better have an adequate plan to back him up that doesn't include always lining up a TE next to him.
Remember that Saffold can still switch to LT for a few games if needed. It's easier to replace a guard anyway. Still need to find Whit's replacement soon!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
