If Suh comes, pressure on Rams to win will be HUGE

March 22, 2018 03:12AM
Not saying it's a downside, because the Rams are already on the radar.
But should Suh join them, the Rams are going to be declared the best team in the NFC and maybe in all of football.
Every game they play will be heavily scrutinized. And they will be expected to win (probably at least 13 games) and at least reach the NFC championship game, or said to have "underachieved".

And guess who that'll fall on? Sean the Wunderkind McVay.

If Suh does come, here's what I do if I'm McVay and Snead:

1) Get quality back up Oline depth as top priority. That begins with LT. There is no way the Rams don't have some injuries this year after a year of having none. Nothing can ruin an offense faster than a depleted oline, and nothing can get a QB killed faster than a depleted oline.
2) Get a vet to replace Watkins, and share in a rotation with Reynolds. Hopefully someone who's been to the playoffs.
3) Get young and fast at LB. Because there's going to be lots of screens and flairs and underneath crossing routes because running is going to be tough against them, and intermediate to long pass routes are going to be really hard.
