Ogletree missed tackles, but he also made impact plays.
Quinn had 8.5 sacks...maybe they came late but 8.5 sacks means you probably have pressures and hits to boot.
Plus...Quinn was talented enough to stay in his rush lane...helping out Donald in the middle.
I assure you, the Seattle Seahawks and one Russell Wilson are very happy Quinn is gone.
We lost two vets...I'm looking for one rookie! It would also be nice to sign a vet LB to help out!
Ogletree impact plays in 2017? When?
1 FF, 1 Pick 6. Hardly impressive.
That was part of his issue. His impact plays had drastically declined in recent years.
Quinn did have impact the last five weeks of the season. But despite that, Longacre got more sacks relative to his snaps than Quinn did for the year.
In addition, the Rams sacks and sack percentage stayed around the 3rd / 4th for the year even without Quinn's late season burst. IOW, they generated plenty of pressure when Quinn was providing nothing.
All in all, I'd say there is a hole from losing the two vets but it isn't massive. The youngins pretty much already performed just as well as the vets last year.
