If a dog does not have any fight you do not want him in a game, in my day you wanted your middle linebacker and fullback to be a crazy mofo, they were always the sh-t stirs both on and off the field, today it is the receivers and CB are. I feel Sammy became disinterested because a lesser guy "Kupp" was constantly getting targeted by Goff. Kupp is a great find for a third round pick, he does not scare anybody, and when you have a true diva like Sammy, it makes you sick when you see someone you feel of lesser talent gets all the attention because you are roommates with the QB.

I like Kupp, and I feel he was a great find, IN THE THIRD ROUND, he is not a game changer nor someone you game plan against. If Kupp was a free agent today teams would not line up to sign him, like they did Sammy. I feel not utilizing Sammy will go down as McVay's greatest regret and after he brings us 3-5 Super Bowls and asked what his greatest regret it will be, "not utilizing Sammy."

My best friend played at Stanford, he was a freshman middle linebacker when Elway was a senior, my buddy whipped Elway in ping pong and after Del beat Elway 3 times Elway challenged him to bloody knuckles, where you put a comb on your hand and he other guy tries to take the comb and leave a mark. Del did not want to be the guy that injured Elway's hand so he got chewed up, a receiver by the name of Ken Margerum got sick of watching the beating, and Elway was leaving huge gashes in Del broke it up. As Elway left he broke his ping pong paddle. My point being these "thoroughbreds" are wired differently.
