I had a discussion with VinnyB on this and he made me think it was no big deal in the big scheme of what they are doing.
He told me that this was about Wade. Wade gave a frank assessment of personnel and obviously it wasn't good for AO. Wade was banging the table for the CBs.
No surprise here, but it seems Wade wasn't in on the decision to extend AO during the season. But he was instrumental in AO leaving.
Vinny said there was a lesson learned by the Rams on this.
Max, you are truly a dedicated Ram fan, thanks for the info.
Just curious, was this “talk” you had with Vinny on the radio? Or on Twitter, or what?
Main reason I ask— just would be curious to hear Vinny’s exact wording regarding two sentences:
“ Wade wasn’t in on decision to extend AO”
“Rams learned a lesson”
Or maybe your report is close to verbatim already?
Point being, are Rams looking to have McVay and Wade become more active participants in salary discussions and cap decisions?
