I thought initially the Rams would stand pat at TE but I've changed my mind. I do think part of why they were willing to let Watkins go- besides the ridiculous contract- is McVay wants to use the TEs more. 49 catches on 88 targets is not what he wants from that position. His TEs combined for 100+ catches in each of his three years in DC.
I can see them moving on from Higbee or at least demoting him to TE3. Burton perhaps is an option they could pair with Everett. Also possible they draft another TE in the 3rd or 4th rounds. We'll see. I don't know that Everett will be a "breakout player" but could he go from 16 receptions to 35-40 this year? Very possible.
