at the moment im conflicted. i dont think they should just jump on the the next best wr. im starting to think they go defense and adress offense in the draft. i think you could get dontari poe and trent murphy for for the 16 mill it would take to sign watkins.
and maybe everett takes a leap to become that weapon.
Agree with Sammy and the tag but... they see it differently (shrug).
I don't like any of the WRs out there in FA, I prefer Reynolds at this point. And maybe some help in the draft.
But I don't like many of the WRs there either.
Maybe they go for a TE. If not, the offense may stay the same with what they have. Reynolds was drafted prior to Watkins being in the plans.
On defense, they could get Poe and Murphy likely for half of that $16M but I suspect they don't go that route either.
I'm working on a post outlining Wade's tendencies - notable FA signings and draft picks - going back to 2004. I may not finish it by the time FA starts tomorrow.
But by and large, Wade doesn't sign expensive FA NT's or ILB's and he very rarely drafts those positions with premium picks.
Going by his history, Poe is out; Murphy on a cheap contract is in.
