Demoff will sign Watkins up to and including a very large number if S&M insist. I’m hoping and praying that S&M are smart enough not to insist on a number beyond, say, $10 million per. Rams must run lean in this SB window as they prepare for other needed FA’s right now and looming monster contracts coming up annually.

I would favor a bridge type contract for Watkins, however. It would provide advantages for both parties short term and leave the door open for a huge contract for Watkins thereafter IF he earns it.
