Report: Aqib Talib blocked trade to 49ers before deal with Rams

In the past week, both the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams made big moves at cornerback. Just a few days after the Rams acquired Aqib Talib from the Denver Broncos, John Lynch convinced Richard Sherman to join the 49ers.
However, if not for Talib, neither move would have happened. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Talib rejected a trade to the 49ers before agreeing to be dealt to the Rams.
Although he doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract, Talib reportedly had an influence on where he was sent. After saying he wouldn’t report to the 49ers, the trade fell through.
That allowed the Rams to swing a deal for the five-time Pro Bowl corner, which also opened the door for the 49ers to sign Sherman. So essentially, because Talib blocked a trade to San Francisco, the 49ers were instead able to land Sherman.
In all, it looks like a win-win for the Rams and 49ers, who each add a Pro Bowler to their respective secondaries.
Maybe there is some good things about this guy after all. lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
