I also said: I get what you meant in general about the brakes comment.

My comment was another general statement of how I think it's an over used repetitive cliche not an attack on you.

Such an often said saying in the sports world. Not a put down of you... You should know me better than that UK.

I used your reserved judgment as a segue of how others in the sports world try to educate and tell people how to think. Not at all directed on you in your post. Simply a segue as to how the statement used in a variety of ways.
