Given that track record, I think these guys have targeted players - from their own roster -- mid level free agent guys or draft picks that they believe they can do the same thing with the Defense.
I like the rip the rip the bandaid method because the windows in the NFL are so tight, you have to do what you got to do and you have to do it fast
What did they do with the offense? They relied on several key players who were already on the roster--Higbee, Saffold, Brown, Hav, Gurley, and Goff.
There are times in past rebuilds when there was no equivalent to Goff, Gurley, and Saffold.
They made good moves and added Whitworth, Sullivan, and the receivers.
Now on defense they currently have, tagged or signed, inherited guys like Joyner, Barron or maybe Littleton instead, Donald,. and Brockers.
The defensive remake this year seems to be more extensive than the offensive one was last year.
