I kinda scratch my head over your concern for the financial well being of these multi millionaires simply because they're players.
Quinn made more money in the first year of his rookie contract than any average college graduate will make in a lifetime.
His second contract, he makes in a month what an average college grad makes in 2-3 years.
So, yes, if I'm paying a guy that kind of money that guy better perform and earn it. He falls off, for whatever reason,I don't want to keep paying him that kind of money.
And no; I don't feel in the least bit sorry for the player. He is rich beyond what almost any football fan can imagine.
Yeah, pretty much....
There is also countless players who have stolen money from teams after signing big money deals and never living up to those deals.
I don't mind a player trying to get all he can get, but I'm not feeling sorry for them if they're traded or released due to "they make too much money" that is for sure
Robert Quinn was set for life after his first year in his rookie contract, his kids were set for life after his second year of his rookie contract.....hard to feel sorry for that.
I loved Quinn, even share the same name, but I completely understand why we're going in a different direction.
