I think he is perfect inside. In order to have a guy like AO in the middle we need to have a guy like Jewell inside to help with the reads. It will allow AO to be more of an athlete without the pressure. More acting and less reacting.
Jewell may not be tall but he's brilliant of the field. He diagnoses well, isn't easily knocked off and is a sure tackler. Tough son a gun. Every team needs that.
