and the combine has a lot more weight towards medical and "underperformance" than exceptionally bright work.

and as they boil down to it....?

Are there still some 25 prospects at each position still have a near draftable grade?

The combine will host some 335 players
What number does a club come away with from that group that get a positive grade?

And it really is about elimination more than qualifying? From this article it sure seems so

Which brings me back to couple things about the combine. Those shuttle runs, the short shuttle, etc. and how teams use actually performances to wave off a player. And, the interviews might lean towards assessing a player's acuity and if they have their heads on straight more than just a friendly howdy doo.
