To me, it's just a matter of impact on the game. If a run stuffing NT can rush the passer the point is moot. If he can't then his value to that D is restricted to only plays where they run the ball. And yes that's a problem with today's pass happy O's.
But there's more to it than that. Does the NT beat his man and get TFLs? If so, maybe he can pass rush after all. I recall wade saying something about preferring quicker smaller NTs before joining the Rams so if will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
