Who tell me to stop crying over SB 36..........Why.......WHY did the NFL destroy the videos IF there was nothing to them??? I'm also quick to give Pats fans their due. The Pats ARE a well run organization. But there is ZEEERO doubt they do it with a LOT of outside help. In 17 years, I have yet to see the Pats lose a game because of a questionable call. At the same time, I lost count how many games they have won because of BS calls. The Jets game this past season was among the strangest calls I have EVER seen.
Well I don't cry over 36 because the Rams still could have won that game.
The NFL destroyed the videos for 2 main reasons.
1 is, it is illegal to tape what they taped, and therefore the very existence of those tapes was illegal. You can't let anyone have possession of stolen info like that, info that could be used.
2 is, they served the only purpose they could serve. It is illegal according to league rules to tape what they taped. BUT it's not illegal to either steal signals or to use stolen intel in a game. Yep--that is not against league rules. For decades the league policy is that team's have to handle their own security and it is impossible for the league to police that. So given that, the tapes COULD ONLY be used as evidence for one thing---it IS against rules to tape that stuff. So once that was established, the tapes could never serve any other purpose anyway.
But don't listen to Patz fans anyway. They are interested parties who are not going to admit anything. It's the nature of the beast.
