Plus on top of it, they completely lucked out in terms of OL injuries in 2017. The last season they had that kind of OL injury luck was 2010. Before that it was 1999.

LT is a huge need. Whitworth turns 37 in-season. The Rams are pushing their luck if they don't have the heir apparent in the wings, and I'd prefer an upgrade to Havenstein as well. A rook can kill those two birds with one stone, as you mention.

Thing is, they really do have a lot of other needs, so it's gonna have to be a triage thing, and they're going to have to score some FA "hidden gems." I think they have the coaching, staff and new team ethos to get it done. But they're not going to be able to let this slide.

Too bad they don't have more early picks, cuz I'd love to see them take a LT, rush backer, corner and run-stuffing DT early. They can't, obviously. So that puts the onus largely on FA. On that score, I hope they can find relatively young players, in their prime. Ideally . . . . 25 to 26, and sign them up for three to five years.
