Clearly this has more to do with the fact that the Pats are consistent winners than any cheating scandal. I used to be angry over the Yankees for buying up all the good players but now that the Dodgers have the largest payroll and appear to be winning consistently-well not so much. So I guess its fairly natural . I say admit it and move on.
