Some of that's due to shorter attention spans IMO

Younger people don't have the patience to sit and watch something for 3+ hours.

It's one of the reasons you see basketball becoming more popular; it's fast paced and the games are usually under 140 minutes (NBA).

I think you can thank technology for a lot of that.

I don't know how many people younger than me that I talk to who don't like baseball because it's "too long" or "pace is too slow."

Like I said in another post, the NFL needs to find ways to shorten games.
