A few years back, a Home Depot project plan to build these chairs came through my FB feed, so I built 2 chairs using standard 2 x 4s and 1 x4s. The plan was to paint them in Ram colors but I never got around to paint them, …… Thus, they sort of became tanning chairs for our Persian cats.
Thankfully during the holiday break Kid #2, who is a Fine Art major at Chapman U, took the initiative to give them life.
We took the weathered chairs, filled cracks the best we could, sanded, applied primer and my kid applied the exterior paint and artwork. She created a stencil from an old Rams pennant and scaled it for the helmet chair. We found an oddly shaped stencil for the goat head that wasn’t scaled correctly, which made the goat head look like Gazoo from the Flintstones. Thus she scaled the goat head free hand to match a Rams baseball cap that I have.
Which chair do you like better? The helmet or the goat head?
