My wife thought he must have money on the game. It was incredibly odd, especially after the time out taken by the Saints. But after seeing the replay from several angles I believe he was there too early knew it and tried to hold up, but with his head down he had no chance. It was a very awkward looking attempt. The only explanation for that is he was indoubt as to whether he was early or not. The angle from the back side in slow motion shows an effort by the defender not to make contact. Glad i’m Not a Saints fan.
