I was skeptical of his fit in Wade's defense before the season but I thought he played very well overall. His cap number actually comes down a bit each of the next two seasons. I would think and hope for 2018 he's still there.

They do need to get bigger up the middle but I would do that at NT. Find a big mid-level FA or a draft pick you can pair with Smart (adding 10-12 lbs. to him) on the nose.
