I think McVay calls the game to win, I don't think he has any other kind of game plan. As for the guys playing? This is their chance to start an NFL game, to have their number and name called, to show that they belong in the NFL. This chance doesn't come along very often. With that in mind, for this game in particular, I think it is entirely possible that our "back-ups" play with more emotion than our starters would. Will that intensity make up for any decline in talent or experience? I don't know, but I do know that those guys will not be handing this to the 9ers in a gift wrapped package. If the 9ers have any let down because they know they aren't playing against all of our starters they are going to get shocked.
