In every game in every success there are those moments that failures occur.
But this weekend, in GT forum and here, if someone had a similar view as this DeSilva they got their panties in a bunch and attacked those who expressed it and then as evidence pointed to the stats. It was inane, devoid of thought.
If people don't want to discuss a game in which there was a lot of great (Gurley) and some good Goff (TD to Kupp) and some so-so Goff in a win, then what is the point?
What is even funny is I chose my words carefully. I never said Goff was bad, or stunk it up, or other pejoratives. I said some throws were "iffy" and "so-so" words to that effect. Very mild. And some still blew up.
But if they cannot handle a little criticism. I mean Gurley and McVay were 100% responsible for the 80-yard screen. Goff had to throw the ball 10 yrds. McVay had Gurley on the short side of the field, LeBeau blitzed from the wide side and Gurley leaked out to the wide side. McVay had the WR to the field (wide side) run a short crosser to eliminate a tackler. From then it was put blockers for their defenders and they were one short. But it was throw right into the side of the blitz and Gurley's special speed taking what would have been a good gainer for most backs into a TD
Wrong- your sarcastic "but, but....he had 300 yards and 4 TDs" is the epitome of mocking people. You don't see that???
Of course Goff had some bad throws!!!! Who doesn't ???!
