Hey, we have put up a really powerful argument for ourselves in terms of team assets. In general, I agree with your analysis.
But, I'm really talking about something else: competitive maturity. What the Brits refer to as
nous: (rhymes with
house)the street-wise craft of getting wins even against "superior" teams.
It's one of those intangible things, but IMO a crucial one.
All year long, I have sensed a greenness in our maturity level. AND we have seen the team grow stage by stage. So, right now, I think we are far more competitively mature than we were going into Minny the first time.
But are we mature enough for the playoffs? That's what I don't know. That is, we haven't yet shown that, I don't think, but we have shown that we are very close.
I think that if we show competitive maturity on the field, the team assets you refer to will kick in and we can beat anyone.
But if we aren't quite there, we'll stumble and fall short as we did in the season's 2 big tests: Minny and Philly.
