Like all of you, the terrible GZ news freaked me out, so I thought I’d share two positive- sounding articles about Ficken’s recent stint with the Kansas City Chiefs this preseason.

We will rally around Sam Ficken and play good football.

Edit: also stumbled upon Sam Ficken’s own “gimme a chance, NFL” video, 38 minutes of training camp kicks with the Jaguars. He made FG’s in practice from 63 yards and 58 yards.

The Rams are not as good as they need to be in the redzone. JZ bailed them out.

Sometimes the issue is not getting to the redzone. So they stall say at the 30.

But when they DO get to the redzone they actually have a relatively low TD percentage.

The fact that JZ is so prolific helped cover that up some.
