Goff has been tremendous this year and has gotten noticeably better as the year has gone on.
Heck he will make the Pro Bowl once Wentz is ruled out.
We have to remember that he is still so young and in his 2nd pro offensive system.
We should expect him to continue to improve as he hones his skills and he should get stronger and faster as his body matures.
Many may be disappointed that we did not choose Wentz who has been slightly better in the first 2 years. I think it is too early to make that judgement. Wentz is 2 years older, came out of a pro style offense and has been in the same system for both years.
At a minimum we got a franchise QB who played Pro Bowl caliber Football this year that not bad. Goff's upside is still sky high and he has great coaching that will help him to reach his maximum potential. He also seems to have a really level head and a mental maturity that is outstanding.
I loved both Goff and Wentz with a slight advantage to Goff after much waffling back and forth. Either way I loved both guys and really give kudos to Snead for taking the high risk and pulling off the trade.
So Kudo's to Goff who has had a great year and finally given us a QB who in the end will probably be the franchise leader in just about every passing record by the time he is done.
