This year the Rams may very well be playing a meaningless week 17 game (though NOT for the same reason as the last 13 years!) But Garoppolo looks like the real deal, and I don't want him continuing his undefeated streak against the Rams, a divisional opponent. I'd like the Rams to be the team to tarnish this media love fest at its very beginning. The national media will drop the Rams in a flash if there is any indication that "the 49ers are back with this generation's Joe Montana at the helm."

Week 17 may not be important for postseason, but it's important to me. The Seahawk rivalry is threatening to diminish these next few seasons, and a good old-school 49er rivalry be reborn. I'd like to start on the right foot!
