But most of them weren't going to multiple probowls until McVay came along.
Coaching and winning really makes a difference.
...I doubt you or anyone else thinks McVay could have sprinkled his magic pixie dust on whomever had been left to them and turned them into pro bowlers.
I just think it's too bad so many are perfectly willing to trash Fisher - with reason! - but unwilling to acknowledge this important and positive part of his legacy: the personal choices he had a big role in have a LOT to do with what's happening now.
