improved...yes. But he still has a lot of room to grow.
He just doesn't go back through the progression...I think many of us know he has missed Watkins numerous times. And while some people don't think Watkins is worth the money, if the QB isn't going to throw to you, then it doesn't matter who is in the #1 position...other than you have a #1 to keep teams honest.
Areas of improvement for Goff...
1) Better at going through progressions...even going back through them if he has time.
2) Show ability to make critical throws at critical times in small windows. (This is an area Wentz is definitely ahead)
3) Two minute offense.
4) Throw deep ball and let your #1 WR go get it even though he may be covered.
The good thing is that he has minimized his turnovers he hasn't taken risks. And McVay is creative enough to accommodate these types of deficiencies. But...when you play the upper echelon of the league, you need to do the things listed above because you're not going to have a lot of space (i.e. Minnesota).
Please don't take this as dissin' Goff. But he does have room for improvement...quite a bit.
