A Suh type contract would be fine by me. That’s 6 years and $119 million. I’ve favored that for months.
I’m afraid that it’s not about the money, though. It might be about a 3 year opt out which would be a deal breaker for any team.
I think AD wants to win and he now sees that McVay’s Rams are gonna be winners. Plus this Wade D is a fun D to play in. So maybe AD will be reasonable about his contract demands soon. If not, he will be a Ram through ‘20 anyway.
As to Gurley, I think zn nailed it. Last season was at least partially on Gurley. McVay has created a sea change improvement in the Ram culture and Gurley has bought in and benefitted greatly. Also, as zn also pointed out, let’s don’t overlook the superior blocking that Gurley is now getting. The OL, TE’s, and WR’s put on a blocking clinic vs the Seahawks.
