Great description...
"2004 would be the last spasm of a dying team. We snuck into the playoffs, stealing a win against the 9-7 Seahawks before getting utterly pummeled by Alan Rossum and Michael Vick in ATL, another game I had the unfortunate privilege of attending. What had been an amazing little run was really the end of an era. It was the GSOT’s last stand."That is
exactly what 2004 was. It has been ugly ever since. Some window dressing like winning three straight at the end of 2006 gave some of us false hope that things could rebound. The 2012 Rams were surprisingly competitive coming off a horrific 2011 season. Really, for Fisher's first 2 1/2 seasons they...weren't bad.... But the truth is they were never
truly relevant again until this season.
Like 1989 being the last gasp of the Rams quality teams of the '70s and '80s before entering The Dark Times... And like the 49ers sent the Rams into those Times the Rams had to beat them (in 1999) to finally exit them. Just like this Sunday vs. Seattle.
Well done sir.
PS, also love to Solazzo reference... You earn extra points for that one.
