RockRam does an excellent job of making the case for Goff.
laram correctly points out that he has come up short in a couple of big moments.
The turnover on one drive and nothing on the next drive against the Eagles was particularly disappointing.
But he did help get them back from 21-7 deficit before that.
I DO think that he did very well to lead the Rams back from behind on the road in Dallas.
The plays he made to break open the Houston game were spectacular.
The end of the first Seattle game was impressive until that last play, which I put half on him and half on Kupp. A slightly better throw is caught, but it was a possible catch for Kupp the way it was, just would have been an outstanding effort.
But not enough there yet to say that he is clutch. Or that he is not, or never can be.
Finally, as zn says, so many other boxes checked.
I can give him more time (as in a couple of years) to show us where the ceiling is and whether he can come through in tough situations. After he's mastered McVay's offense, and has worked longer with his receivers, then I'll expect more.
Ramily!
