I watch TA on the edge of my seat because you just NEVER KNOW what he's going to do.........Seriously.
Even after a great catch, I still hold my breath hoping he does not fumble.
Then, he'll squirt free and take a 4yd pass and turn it into a HUGE gain. Or, he'll take a simple toss and break a 25-30 yd run.
He's like a human pinball machine.
It's just as a returner. And mostly that was just this year.
Total since 2013 he has had 323 targets as a receiver, 191 receptions, and 196 rushing plays. So counting just receptions and runs, that's 387 touches on offense. He has fumbled 6 times on offense in 6 years. That's on 1.5% of touches.
Most of his fumbles have come on returns.
So you don't have to hold your breath when he catches or runs the balls. He's not a fumbler on those kinds of plays. Or to be strictly accurate about it, he fumbles once a year as a runner/receiver.
So breath freely. There's no real issue.
I say, go ahead and worry if you want
