McVay is not about to give his strategy to the media.
And, why would McVay insist on running a great deal against a team who is #1 against the run but #16 against the pass?
I heard the same argument when the Rams were going to play the Saints. The thing was, however, that the 2 starting CBs for the Saints were injured and not playing, so guess what McVay did? He predominately passed the ball against them.
I do understand that generally speaking, play action passing won't work unless the run threat is real. Therefore the Rams do have to establish a legit run threat with Gurley. But to game plan to feature the run? I don't buy it.
I expect to see at least 35 passes by Goff on Sunday. Maybe more if the Rams were to fall behind.
