As long as when the ball is snapped he is outside the shoulder pads width of the long snapper he is fine. It is very close. But he is on the outside and immediately runs between center and guard. The center falls back and he gets his push. They even said they knew it was coming and prepped for it. I think the guard has to be more aggressive. My son is a high school long snapper so I actually find the rules interesting.
